How It Works
From first lesson to your first scoped project
The path is intentionally simple: learn, practice, package, offer. Here's what each stage actually involves.
- 01
Watch the recorded training
Work through the video lessons at your own pace, covering copy fundamentals, audience research, headline and body-copy drafting, and editing.
- 02
Complete the practice worksheets
Each module includes a hands-on worksheet: a mock client brief, a headline drafting sheet, a before-and-after edit, so you practice the skill immediately rather than just watching.
- 03
Build a small starter portfolio
Package two or three of your best practice samples into a simple starter portfolio you can show when you start looking for your first small project.
- 04
Offer a defined, scoped service
Choose one small, well-defined service to offer first, such as a website-page refresh, a batch of product descriptions, or a short email sequence, with clear revision limits from the start.
What happens after you offer your first project?
Most people who take this path start with one client and one small scope, learn from the revision process, then repeat with slightly larger or better-paid projects as their portfolio grows. There's no set timeline, and results depend heavily on effort, the quality of your practice samples, and how much time you can put in.
